Hey Warriors!
It’s been almost a month since Kickoff, and here’s what GWR has been doing. Tech Design has focused on the initial robot design, especially the turret shooter, tank, and climb, creating new prototypes for turret placement and the indexer. Mechanical has been prototyping subsystems and refining ideas across teams, while Strat has studied the game manual to identify features that give a competitive edge. Programming has updated software, tested prototypes, and analyzed swerve odometry and the elevator, as Electrical organized inventory and learned new crimping skills. Manufacturing has begun robot construction, cutting panels and setting up shop equipment.
Beyond the robot, Outreach developed and ran workshops at Tom Wilson Elementary and the Chinese Community Center from January 27–30 and is finalizing the team magazine. Finance handled invoices, merchandise, sponsorships, and local outreach, while Media and Marketing prepared Impact Award materials and launched the team blog.
