This past week our members have been working hard to make the necessary revisions to Goldfish based on the Manor results before states.<\/p><p>Manor Recap:<\/p><p>Our robot saw significant improvement from the Tomball competition!&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We switched from a ground intake to an active intake.<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This change, along with improvements to the pinch and shooter mechanisms, resulted in faster cycle times and more efficient shooting.<\/li>\n\n<li>Our team was SUCCESSFULLY able to obtain 7 algae into a net in a single match!&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>For the impact award:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The presentation went well and the operations team prepared binders for pit interviews and award submissions.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><p>GWR is also very honored to have received the <strong>Quality Award<\/strong>!<\/p><p>Our build team has been working hard this past week to improve our robot for regionals based on our past performance.&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>manufacturing <\/strong>team made a new limelight holder.<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They cut out new climber panels and finger parts for the robot.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>They\u2019re also creating parts for the EveryBot.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n<li>The <strong>programming <\/strong>team is planning on implementing trapezoid PID onto the arm to improve its cycling time speed. They also are planning on programming coral macros to operate for both L1 and L2. Additionally, they are planning to improve the limelight alignment.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>The <strong>electrical <\/strong>team added a new chip to allow us to have two camera streams<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One camera is used to increase speed on the climb line.<\/li>\n\n<li>The other camera allows us to see what is in front of the robot.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n<li>&nbsp;The <strong>CAD <\/strong>team has been making minor changes to the design and has implemented them onto the Goldfish.<\/li>\n\n<li>The <strong>mechanical <\/strong>team added a coral stick allowing us to score coral on L1 and on L2.<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They\u2019re planning on improving the intake by adjusting the torque ratio.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>They aim to have minimal changes made before states, so the programmers have enough time.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n<li>The <strong>operations <\/strong>team has been planning the annual Banquet.
