Welcome to Jordan Golden Warriors Robotics. We were established in 2020 and continue to make an impact in our community. Our students maintain a diverse and welcoming community to work together and succeed. Our team works to bring and improve passions for STEM\u00a0and helping the community by participating in yearly\u00a0FIRST<\/a>\u00a0Robotics competitions.\u00a0<\/p>

Members work with mentors from a wide variety of backgrounds to learn technical skills that are not only valuable for competition but also for school and life. Many of the skills developed here – namely communication, community skills, mechanical knowledge, writing, leadership skills, and project management – are focused on and improved upon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

FIRST Robotics is an international program that aims to inspire young people to become interested and involved in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The program provides students with the opportunity to design, build, and program robots that can compete in various challenges. FIRST Robotics offers a unique learning experience that teaches students important skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and leadership. Through this program, students gain practical experience in STEM fields and have the opportunity to work alongside mentors who are professionals in the industry. The Robert R. Shaw Center for STEAM has been our work site since 2020, and it houses all of the Katy ISD FRC teams, including 624,\u00a02882,\u00a04639, 5427, 6488, and 8370. It was designed to provide students across all grade levels access to materials and people, while also allowing conception, design, and production of robots. Programs at the RSC are developed around interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis on encouraging students to be innovators in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.<\/span><\/p>
